FIVA Certifications
The FIVA certification process includes the submission of an application as well as the physical Technical Inspection of the vehicle. The certification is divided into two types depending on the age of the vehicle:
FIVA Identity Card
For vehicles 30 years old and more, which:
- are preserved and maintained in proper, historical condition
- are not used as a means of everyday transportation
- are part of our motorized and cultural heritage
Such a vehicle is called a "Historic Vehicle" and enjoys all the privileges deriving from the FIVA Identity Card, such as registration in the international FIVA database, assignment of a unique FRN (FIVA Registration Number), reduced insurance costs, compensation as a "Historic Vehicle" in the event of an accident and not as simply an old vehicle, as well as exemption from the objective living expense (presumption) if it bears state registration data of Law 4850/2021.
